As of July 1, 2025, Wyoming now allows anyone who is authorized to carry a concealed firearm to carry a concealed handgun in a number of public places including higher education locations, K-12 schools, government buildings, and airports, with some exceptions. See Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 6-8-105.
See exceptions where concealed guns are not permitted or regulated in higher education:
- Open carry is prohibited
- Within any facility where explosive or volatile materials are present
- Athletic events where alcohol is being sold
- A governmental entity cannot be prohibited from requiring any employee or student to store firearms within a concealed biometric container or a lock box within the employee’s or student’s direct control at all times when the firearms are not being carried on the employee’s or student’s person
