Laws Concerning Carrying Concealed Firearms on Campus in Vermont

Although it is not necessary to have a permit to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Vermont, the law does state that Colleges and Universities have the authority to ban all weapons from campus.

The University of Vermont generally prohibits the possession of weapons on campus. See: https://www.uvm.edu/sites/default/files/UVM-Policies/policies/firearms.pdf

As of February 1, 2024, no private or public universities, colleges, or community colleges permit weapons inside of buildings or on school grounds.
