Laws Concerning Carrying Concealed Firearms on Campus in Alaska

Although it is not necessary to have a permit to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Alaska, there is no specific statutes or regulations restricting firearms on public college or university property.  The University of Alaska Board of Regents, however has a policy banning concealed handguns on all University of Alaska campuses including community colleges.

As of October 1, 2016, no private or public universities, colleges, or community colleges permit weapons inside of buildings or on school grounds.
